 Join us for 4 Tuesdays in June/July during our adult summer reading program's "Meet the Author" series. This week, in conjunction with our exhibit, "Discover Greatness: An Illustrated History of Negro League Baseball," Phil Dixon will be our featured author.

Widely regarded as one of America's foremost experts on baseball history, Mr. Dixon is a knowledgeable and entertaining speaker, lecturing regularly to colleges, high schools, and community groups, and is routinely quoted in print and broadcast media. Formerly in the Public Relations Department of the Kansas City Royals, Dixon now serves on the Board of Governors for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. He remains relentless in his pursuit of equality for African-American athletes in baseball and in sports in general.
