In April of 2009, the William F. Laman Public Library System's main library unveiled a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled exhibit hall that was designed to American Association of Museums standards.

About a year later, Laman Library became the first organization in North Little Rock to host a Smithsonian Exhibit.

The exhibit hall hosts about four to six exhibits each year, all of which are free to the public, not just library card holders.
