After thorough deliberation, the North Little Rock Veterans Memorial Advisory Committee selected the Laman Library plaza as the site for a memorial honoring military veterans.
Laman Library agreed to maintain the memorial, which is located in the southeast corner of the plaza at the corner of Orange Street and Pershing Boulevard.
The committee broke ground on May 11, 2010 and dedicated the memorial on Veterans day, November 11, 2010.
The design subcommittee selected a design with a battlefield cross displayed atop a 5-foot tall pedestal, which is surrounded by nine granite pillars.
"All Gave Some / Some Gave All" is inscribed on the Veterans Memorial, which honors all North Little Rock Veterans with special recognition given to all armed service personnel from the city who were “killed in action” in service to our country. Names of those individuals are etched in granite on the memorial.
Names will be added to the stones once a year. To submit a name to be engraved on the pillars, click here. (Engraved names are only veterans from North Little Rock who were killed in action.)
